LHR T2 changes + Lufthansa
I go through LHR T2 every two weeks and supposedly since 1st October SAS Gold we can use Plaza lounge and Lufthansa no more senator just business
|
You can also use the SQ lounge, although it is a bit of a walk to the B gates, if you are departing from A...
|
Well Lufthansa Business and Senator lounges are essentially the same so no big deal.

SK says that they have improved the Business Lounge areas to the same standard as the Gold lounges, but Copenhagen's lounge sure didn't feel that way last week. 🫠 |

It makes sense because SAS combined their lounges from Oct 1st. There would be no reason for LH to offer SK pax access to what they consider their higher level Gold lounge when LH pax no longer get the same in return from SK.

Bit of a shame. But the SEN lounge does get a bit overcrowded and does get a but stuffy, at least in the warmer parts of the year. I've found myself staying in the business lounge a few times where the air (and temperature) has been considerably better...

I'm trying the new European Business Class next week. Given last month's debacle where I was delayed on the M1 & subsequently missed my flight, I'll be taking an early train to London & should have about 4 hours to kill at LHR T2. Which lounge can/should I use? The SAS & SkyTeam websites only seem to mention the Lufthansa Lounge & nothing about the Plaza & SQ Lounges, are the latter two just for EuroBonus members? If so, as a Flying Blue Platinum, that would rule me out.

Plaza taken away so it's Lufthansa business as Lufthansa senator taken away

Over on Headforpoints someone was reporting that they got into the SQ lounge with a SK business ticket this month.
Agree regarding the tiny difference between LH Business vs Senator, but I do wonder if flashing my Senator card might get me that slip of paper when on SK. Will try next week and report back. |

SQ also taken away? I don't mind the walk.
SQ lounge is available as a Partner lounge at LHR: https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...a728b4aea4.jpg |
