Availability for other skyteam partners

Hello! As SAS is now part of the SkyTeam, is it possible to book flights from SkyTeam partners using Eurobonus points? I checked on SAS' website and it appears that for flights between Seoul and Tokyo, there is no availability on any flight even though SkyTeam serves both destinations.

I am not sure that I understand the question you are asking, as it seems you already have your answer. But let's try and see if this helps.

If you have gone to the SAS partner awards website....
https://www.flysas.com/en/eurobonus/...award-flights/

...and it has not shown you any availability for your travel dates/destinations, then unfortunately that means that there is nothing available at this time. Of course that can change should the partner airline decide to make more award inventory available to SAS. It would not be unusual for partners to release additional award inventory closer to the date/time of the flight.

If your question is can you go to the partner's website and book on their interface using EuroBonus points, then the answer is unfortunately that is not possible.

If the above didn't answer your questions, hopefully someone else can help :)

It is most certainly possible to book Korean Airlines flights. The availability is not high, and I have yet to see a business class flight, but I think the competition from locals is quite tough.

Yeah I've checked various dates both closer to today and further. And nothing shows up.

There may be a certain married segment logic. Ie. if you just want the Seoul Tokyo route, you'll see less than if you search Tokyo to Singapore via Seoul.

Oh is it. I didnt notice it honestly. If one leg is available, only then it's showing the other in my opinion. Let me check for few days with a tool

Am I the only one struggling to find any kind of awards on AFKLM? I’ve been tracking OSL-LIM for a while, looking to go about a year from now. Until a month ago, AFKLM was steadily releasing two seats on each flight but since then, nothing! Also checking a few other routes, I am finding no availability either (DXB, anything Japan (but know hard regardless)). Can find some flights three weeks from now but for Lima, I need to book this further in advance. Can’t find anything closer in for that matter. Checked both during the day and after midnight /1am.

Simply a matter of being taken or are they restricting now. Can find plenty of flights (well…) with VN and UX but obviously not very attractive from double connection plus the increase in cost.

South America redemption on AFKL is rare, generally need to book that 10+ months out just like SIN/HND in APAC. Some workarounds are looking for redemption to other places in South America and add feeders. Panama, Mexico City and Bogota have better availability than EZE and LIM also closer to departure.

My comment is more about how there was availability, now all gone. To the point I don’t think it is being released to SK.

I’ve checked randomly other destinations and appears to be the same.

I don't see AFKL being offered in Skymiles to LIM either. It could very well be that the availability you saw earlier has just been snagged.

Thanks. For me it gives the look of a severe curtailment of inventory - I cannot find any other routes really either. And there was fairly consistent inventory, min 2 with KL every day, and AF almost every day. Y is an option (but isn’t an option :))

Perhaps good Amex changed it rules somewhat, cannot do much with these 2-4-1s…

AMEX has nothing to do with it. Just SK's and their partners revenue management. Biggest issue I see with AFKL are the feeders. I find pretty good options departing CDG and AMS. But then CPH-AMS/CDG is not available. I did not yet tried to have the CS team manually add the feeder on SK metal... that should work according to the rules.

Was meant in jest, perhaps I’ll just give up as these 241s are becoming unusable.

Have been looking ex ams and cdg too but only returns UX flights at the 100% premium…
