SAS FF recognition
I realize this issue was extensively discussed in other threads, but that was "piecemeal". So, I am hoping to get a single thread going with your experiences, as well as any tips in successfully (or not) adding SK frequent flyer account to other airline's bookings (may be start a Wiki if there is enough info).
My experience so far: DL (Delta) - added in the manage the booking page, status recognized. Not visible in the SK app RO (Tarom) - added in the manage the booking page, unclear if status recognized. Visible in the SK app KL (KLM) - no SK in the manage booking a/c list. Visible in the SK app. Qble to push the FF number from the SK app, FF shows up in "manage booking" but airline field still empty, status not recognized SV (Saudia) - SK option during initial booking (if direct with a/c), no SK in the dropdown in manage booking. Visible in SK app. Can push FF from the SK app (unclear if recognized). GA (Garuda) - no SK in the manage booking airline list, however if booked through 3rd party (Expedia), SK FF will show up in the booking (but any attempt to edit passenger info would force you to select another FF program). Unclear if recognized. Visible in the SK app. VN (Vietnam Airlines) - aded in the manage the booking page, unclear if status recognized. Visible in the SK app. AM (Aeromexico) - no SK in the list, customer service unable to add (claims "mileage earning agreement not yet signed", not sure how this can work). Not visible in the SK app. Feel free to add more a/c. |
SV had added SK to their drop down meny and it sticks, one just has to remember to add EBG/D.........

The only option I see is through their "AI chat", which presents a drop down list of airlines that does not include SK (as of yesterday night, at least) Edited: 1. I am not able to use the "edit frequent flyer number" on the manage booking page (getting "incomplete contact information" error, but no option to edit the contact). I assume that menu had SK added, but the chatbot was missed. 2. OTOH I was able to push the FF number from the SK app, and it does not appear in the SV page, so that's something. |

They did? How are you reaching that?

I'm not sure about adding the number in retrospect online, but I would contact the German call center and talk with them if you have a problem. They have been really helpful and service minded to me (there are also a GB one). https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...b738c0165c.jpg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...f8bff9b3c5.jpg |
Personally I don't have any problem entering my SK FFP into AF/KL bookings. It's accepted and saved (though it doesn't show in the MMB, the field is empty), benefits are automatically recognised (complimentary seat selection and a bag), and the status is correctly printed on the BP.

What does "visible in the SK app" mean? I just made a booking with Delta, added my number successfully by putting EBB in front, but it's not showing in the SK app?
Once the booking is added, the app has an option to "push" the SK FF number into that booking. It seems to work for some better than others. Delta and Aeromexico bookings cannot be added to the app. |

Where do you enter the SK information? On the klm.com the dropdown does not seem to include SAS.
It looks like this in the app: https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...e4854cf999.jpg |
Yes I successfully added EB # to a KLM booking as above...received all the Sky priority benefits and lounge access but not the points. Still trying to get them credited from flights mid September.

In my booking the option to enter/edit the "loyalty programme" is greyed out for some reason. I was able to "push" the EBG number from the SK app, though - and I do see now the 1 checked bag included (which was not at the time of the booking).

Have you been locked in to your FB account while trying?
Usually being logged in into airline's own FF program makes it more difficult to apply FF number from another airline (and in any case I don't want to risk accidentally having flights credited the wrong way) |
No issues flying KE yesterday and crediting to EB. Booked the ticket before September and it originally had my DL FFP included but could just updated it to EB during check-in.
Will update on earnings once they post. |
One small tip on AM: I booked via Expedia, and they let me enter an SAS number at time of booking and it stuck. I have MEX-MAD-AMS with AM-UX and using the UX confirmation number allowed me to add and see the booking in the SK app too. So expedia for all y'all who are uncomfortable with AM not "showing..."
