I don't understand why posting the answer would be against the forum rules?

I mean no disrespect here, but how exoitc were people expecting when the location had to be in a place that would allow for visa-free travel and had to be completed in a couple of days? I have lots of nice and fond names for many places in Europe that they could pick, but exotic wouldn't be one of them. :)

Well, If I was a SAS manager in charge of this, I would apologise and tell a new destination will be taken with some extra fun.
Literally no point of paying overprice, when all the fuss is about "unknown" which is no more unknown... Someone will have some quality time with the mirror, letting such error happen. |

It wasn't strictly prohibited, but the mod 'encouraged' people to not reveal it, so the 12 people who didn't read the mail can still be surprised. Annoyingly, no one seems to want to 'leak' it further.

Some of us are traveling with spouses and friends who do not yet know the destination, lets try to leave some excitement for them. I hope people will not talk loudly about the destination during check-in and the actual flight. Also not all of us did get the hotel email revealing it - but someone did inconsiderately spoil the destination in the SAS app chat-group shortly after it happened.

SK7032 took off yesterday for Seville.
After landing, the plane (SE-ROI) turned around and returned to CPH as the regularly scheduled SK2522. So, even if the hotel concerned hadn’t spilled the beans early, it might have been possible to guess the destination by looking at which r/t routes out of CPH weren’t served by regularly scheduled outbound flight that day. |

Forgot to add… if anyone suddenly feels they missed the chance to spend 60,000 points on a trip to Seville, SAS has plenty of r/t availability for the rest of the month at 30,000 points ;)

I wonder those people who went on the trip feel that they are getting ripped off by SAS :D
+ 10k points extra to the normal SAS Plus is understandable with extra fun, dinners etc. It's more about that ridiculous hotel price, even if it was a great hotel, which it propably is. (320€/a night incl taxes) But, do I understand correctly, one could have hopped on the plane and reject the €€€ Sas partner hotel, searching something at arrival by yourself? If that was possible, the concept makes more sense to me and could be a lot of fun. (If you still get the other goodies other than good night sleep)
Spoiler
--------------- Lufthansa has "Suprice booking" pretty often. But then again, they are only random flights. Not same as full trip with And they do have always list of cities which of you get one, so not a 100% suprice. |
320 is a pretty normal price for the Autograph in Seville. You can get a room for 200 at times (in peak summer…) but often it is around 300 and easily shoots up to 500 or more. And it is a very nice hotel.

I thought the hotel was 200€/night including breakfast...
