Printing a boarding pass after checking in
Hello everyone.
I'm taking my first flight with a non-budget airline next week, a multi-leg journey itinerary with SAS from LHR. My limited flight experience has had me flying from LTN with EY where I used a mobile ticket with a QR code and just went straight through to security. Just for a bit of piece of mind, I would like to pick up a boarding card at LHR as well as have the digital ticket on my phone. Am I able to check in online and recieve my digital boarding pass when check in opens 24 hours before departure, and then upon arrival pick up a paper boarding pass from the kiosks? I don't have access to a printer to print out the PDF. Should this not be possible, could I check in at the kiosk upon arrival and then recieve a digital ticket as well? Apologies if I am missing something here I am just not too savy with check in regulations. Thank you in advance for any advice you can offer. |
Matt_b, welcome to Flyertalk.
We've relocated your query to our SAS forum for better information. ~beckoa, co-moderator Information Desk |

I do this SAS OLCI + airport printout at kiosk thing very often. |
Yes, this is possible. I, for one, like a digital boarding pass for boarding, but a paper one as a bookmark for whatever paperback I've grabbed before the flight. If you go through my bookshelves, most of the books from the last two years (and probably quite a few back at the library) have a SK boarding pass tucked in the back somewhere. :D

Yes - I often check in online early (to give me time to solve any potential issues) then at the airport I use a kiosk or desk and receive a paper boarding pass. Sometimes they ask me if I've already checked in online, but many times they don't. You'll be fine.

I do the same, check-in online as early as possible and then either get the BP from the check-in desk (the ones from the kiosk are sometimes of too poor quality for my taste) or if the line is too long I go to the gate early or lounge (in case of there being an SAS lounge) and just have them print out my BP there.

Thank you everyone for your replies, it has helped settle my nerves.
I have checked in online using the SAS app and got my digital boarding passes, I'll also aim to pick up a boarding pass at LHR as well. |
