Invalid date for birth day? Website error
Hello,
I am attempting to enter passport info for my upcoming SAS flight. I am able to enter in my info, and my husband's and daughter's info. However, when I type in my son's date of birth I keep getting an "Invalid Date" error. I've tried different browsers, but still get the same error. With travel as chaotic as it is right now, I wanted to minimize time in line and we are only bringing carry on luggage. I'm afraid if I don't clear this up, I may be stuck waiting in a long check in line at the airport. Any idea why I'm getting this error? His birthday is 20xx-10-01. If I change the birthday by even one day, it goes through with no issue but I don't want to list the wrong date of birth and have problems at the airport. I did a quick Google search and it seems that others have had this issue too, but none of the google results seem to have a solution. Any thoughts? Thank you, Ashley |

Thank you, Ashley As long as the wrong birthdate isn’t an important cutoff time for being a lap child, being in specific seats or being separated in a plane, I wouldn’t worry about this too much and would just do it at the airport and then tell them to re-run the boarding passes after putting in a trusted traveler number (if it’s relevant to your circumstances). Sometimes it may help to meddle with your device’s time/date settings to line them up to something else — maybe Stockholm time — restart the device and try again from a fresh browser window in and out of privacy mode. |
I guess this is for flying back to the USA? Just enter any date, your passport will need to be machine read and it will overwrite whatever you entered manually. If you have US passports this is even less of an issue. If you travel on ESTA it can cause some redflags tripping because passport vs ESTA are not identical but nothing a check in or gate agent can't fix for you.
