Considering how restrictive China and Japan still are about foreigners entering, not any time soon would be my guess.

At the end of September, SAS plans* to start up its intercontinental flights to Asia and fly from Copenhagen to Shanghai once a week.
*Subject to government approval.

I hope JP will allow foreigners in by mid Oct; but it seems less likely with only 1˝ month left.
I have an EB award to HND that I hope to be able to use (rather than rebooking again; already rebooked once because CPH - HKG being axed)

Update:
Reentry for long term residents will be opened from September 1st, but I still think visitors will be a fair bit later than October.
