is TLV "in Europe" for earnings purposes?

I was wondering if a LH flight FRA-TLV is considered European cross-border or international for earnings purposes? I know SAS considers TLV to be in Europe for redemption purposes - does that translate into only 1,250 miles if crediting a paid Y ticket? Thanks!

Looking at the earnings table, it is "other europe" and Y would credit 1,500.

Do you mean with "Y" the booking class or the service class? That makes a huge difference.

We touched the discussion some time earlier this year regarding RAK and TBS and they were not part of Europe but considered international. I assume same applies to TLV.

Which table did you check? There is no "other europe" in LH's earning table.

I am sorry, overlooked the LH bit.

In the general earning table (https://www.flysas.com/en/eurobonus/point-tables/) , Israel belongs to "other europe" - so my guess this "isreal is in europe" would apply here, too

You need to check for the *A partner, not the SAS tables:

https://www.flysas.com/gb-en/eurobon...nes/lufthansa/

Then it comes down to: Does LH qualify TLV to be a European Route, or a Worldwide Route. According to https://www.lufthansa.com/us/en/book...omy/pricezones TLV is a zone 2 route, not European, so for Economy Y, B, M, H, U(100%), W, Q, V, S (50%), K, L, T (25%) x ~1830 should apply.

Otherwise it should be a fixed mileage based on the booking class: Y, B (1250), H, M, U (750),Q, V (500), S, W (250), K, L, T (125)

But I'm not 100% sure. I bet @oliver2002 will come in sooner or later and confirm or correct

Most airlines put TLV in the middle east for redemption purposes so if they put it in Europe for earning purposes that would seem rather deceitful.

Casablanca (CMN) and Marrakech (RAK) and Agadir (AGA) aren't on the list but I know out of experience those routes credit according to international non europen flights.
I'm surprised Baku (BKU) is listed, but Tbilisi (TBS) isn't, despite the two cities being pretty much next to each other.
I once tried looking up the definiton per IATA zone, but results were inconclusive as TBS and CMN etc. are both listed in european and the other corresponding zone, but as mentioned CMN gives miles per distance.
So since CMN gives miles as non european flight I'm pretty sure TLV does too.
