SAS terminates the contract with FlyBe

According to this article https://check-in.dk/sas-og-flybe-stopper-samarbejdet/, SAS terminates the contract with FlyBe 2 years ahead of expiration. Unfortunately I can't find any other information to support the article, and I don't have access to the full article, so I don't know who is replacing FlyBe and when.

My typical BE flights are now set to be operated by EE. And the reason for the cancellation of the contract is highly likely the Brexit.

I'm not crying a single tear! Less ATRs in service is a good thing!

I don't think so. If I remember correct, FlyBe has recently been purchased by Nordica and are in the process of being merged into it. As far as I remember Nordica is a Spanish company

I'm affraid it will still be ATR's, but with a new crew. Despite that. I hate the ATR's too and so do I with the CRJ's although not as much as the ATR's.

Nordica is an Estonian company. I don't recall any Spanish capital in there. Might have missed it though. You might be confusing with AirNostrum.

Your probably right. There have been a number of merger in this segment lately, so I'm not really sure who owns who now and where they are based. But it doesn't really change the Brexit theory. FlyBe is operating the SK flights from an ARN base as far as I remember, and both Nordica and AirNostrum are none UK airlines, so I can't see how Brexit can play any role in the decision to cancel the contract 2 years ahead of expiration. It's more likely because of the merger or contract breaches.

Nordica aren’t buying Flybe. I would imagine they are taking over the contract only.

flybe was bought by a consortium led by Virgin Atlantic.
