13100 miles needed for EBG as youth, mileage turn suggestions?

Hey there guys

Im getting closer and closer to my goal of achieving Star Alliance Gold with Eurobonus: This year I only need a further 13100 miles! Im currently luckily classified as a youth with SAS so that offers some nice mileage run options: I was thinking about ZRH-CPH-HKG (arriving in the morning, lunch in HKG and taking the evening flight back) in Y (Huge downgrade after LX F, I know). Will cost about 500-600 chf. 10000 miles.

Does anybody else have some suggestions I could do? Preferably costing less than 1000 chf:P (Im based in ZRH btw). Maybe some routes one must have flown around skandinavia?

Im also trying to convince my father for a mileage run (he needs 26k to keep EB *A gold status). He will only want to fly J or at leadt Y+. I hope I could tag along on this one maybe: Suggestions welcome!

How about the SAS premium Mastercard?

Depending on your years expiry.

Well thats a good suggestion, but the card does not earn status miles, only bonus miles. Also: Im a Swiss resident, hence I cant have a scandinavian card :/

Hong kong works fine. A nice extended weekend
E.g. 28. Sept sk606 + sk963 in Go
and 2. Oct. Sk964 + sk407 + sk609 in plus
total 8.700 SEK or 930 CHF
4500 + 500 + 6000 + 750 + 1500 = 13.250 points

to the USA or Japan it is much more difficult to find cheap plus fares, especially on short notice

1.000 status points/month if you use it, but ok, swiss thing will be problematic.

Any of the longest band routes will work well. I've done SFO-CPH r/t for ~$550 in go youth, which is a mileage run worthy deal for status.

+1 for US West Coast - it's a longer flight hence more mileage.

I don't know if youth ticket allows this: I have and will do this crazy flying-go-round - MMX-ARN-CPH-HKG/SFO/IAD and return. I don't do it for miles but for the price.

I just found a nice fare: OSL-LIS-JFK in TAP Business (J). which gives 200% on Eurobonus. One return leg is available for approx. 1300.- $ for a return trip which in total would give one 20400 miles.

Looking at my Eurobonus points right now I am still missing 12650 to reach Gold Status.

With the recent devaluation for Go and Go Youth fares my situation has become a little more difficult. Im currently thinking about flying a route like ZRH-ARN-CPH-HEL and back twice, which can be found for 300-400 (Ca. 500$) in Plus. This would give me 6000 points per round trip. Still leaving me with 650 to go.
Furthermore timings and dates are an issue.
Does anybody have any suggestions? Date wise Weekends in November work, Last week in december and whole of February (have to qualify at the end of february!)

I have no idea how this works price-wise, but if you swap the connection to go Poland or Germany instead, you will get much more miles than on Scandinavian Flights.

BHX-ARN-CPH-GDN and back got me roughly 8000 points, you could try and price that up with ZRH as starting point (and a weekend in either Gdańsk, Gdynia or Sopot is truly worth it).

Its difficult to get a stop in germany ex ZRH as the ZRH-Germany flght would be on Lufthansa or Swiss and they price them significantly higher. (The fare of the ZRH-Ger flight will be added to the Ger-Skandinavia flight.

I meant more like Hamburg via CPH (not CPH via Hamburg).
