Baggage interlining at Oslo

I am travelling into Oslo on a long haul flight connecting to a European short haul flight on separate PNR's. The long haul airline have said they will check my bags through to the final destination.

A friend has just told me that they believe that it's Norway/ Oslo's? policy that baggage always has to be collected and rechecked in at Oslo, even if it is tagged to final destination.

Is this true? I don't want to leave my bag on the carousel at Oslo believing it's going straight through to my final destination.

International to domestic, yes all luggage has to be collected and passed through customs in OSL. International to international should be sent through to your final destination.
