Disagree, if this is a paid ticket OP would probably earn as per normal business class fare. CX Fare in I is a paid revenue bucket and would very unlikely map directly to I on NZ which is an award bucket
If the fare is a paid ticket issued via CX, it is more likely it will map to a NZ discount business bucket like Z, earning 200pc, although being a codeshare, points would probably not credit automatically.

This is a bit interesting case, as normally with a OW booking it is the marketing carrier that decides the frequent flyer points. In this case, CX. Even on codeshares. So if you credit this flight to a OW program this will shows as a CX flight, no mentioning of NZ.
What happens if you enter your Eurobonus number, is the interesting point. My guess nothing, as it is treated as a OW flight. But I would be interested in hearing the outcome.
I am sure for the CX/NZ joint venture on HKG they have a special agreement for their own FFPs, but does that extend to the rest of the alliance?

I agree, but the OP indicated an NZ I-ticket (which is an award ticket as we both know). So in reality the OP doesn't have an NZ I-ticket, but rather a CX I-ticket, which will be in a random bucket on NZ. Thus we don't have enough information to tell what number of points will be awarded.

I think there are two options here.
1. OP doesn't get a single point if the flight is not operated by Air New Zealand Inernational/National, Air Nelson, Eagle Air or Air New Zealand Link. I'm afraid that this will be the case if CX operated the flight.
More information here: http://www.sas.no/Templates/FlexiblePage.aspx?id=216795
2. It seems that on CX, I class is the cheapest business revenue fare bucket. I'd expect it'd translate into Z, also based on the information in those two links:
http://www.airnewzealand.co.nz/co-op...cathay-pacific
http://www.cathaypacific.com/cx/en_T...ing-class.html
However, this is a translation between NZ and CX and doesn't necessary apply to other *A partners. And it's only relevant if the flight is operated by NZ anyway.
ps. Please don't shoot me if I'm wrong...
