Wideroe.no now refusing to manually adjust booking class

This is news for me, apparently now wideroe.no is refusing to manually adjust booking classes before ticketing. Worse than losing the service, I was also quite put off by the Wideroe rep's poor attitude and way of handling my request. First he lied then told me the service is no longer offered and then basically to bugger off.

This was a great service and I know was provided until recently as myself and a friend (at different times) have requested it from them. The procedure was to set up a booking, get someone on Live Chat, then book with a note in the field on the payment page to send a message to the helpdesk. Then give the person on Live Chat the Confirmation Number and they could make the requested changes and price adjustment before ticketing. This was a priceless service when all other OTA engines would turn up results with a Zero Mileage earning booking class for 1 or more segments, but the mileage earning booking class was only marginally more.

Mr. dvs7310 : No, International fights, not on Wideroe metal
Fr*** : No, we have stopped this service since the confirmation email shows
difference in fare.
Mr. dvs7310 : That's a real shame as it was a valuable service for people who
knew about it.
Fr*** : Yes, but we have stopped that now.
Mr. dvs7310 : Certainly would have appreciated having been told that at the
beginning rather than: Then you cannot use our site. Please contact your carrier
or another travel agency.
Fr*** : There are no information on our site that we can change booking clases
after the reservation is done. So we do not need to have any information about
your request.
Mr. dvs7310 : Any travel agent working via a GDS can specify booking classes
on a ticket. Wideroe is acting as a travel agent when booking flights entirely
on other airlines. I don't think that a customer requesting that is out of line
at all.
Fr*** : Sorry, we do not have this service anymore. Please contact another
travel agency. Bye.

Sounds like perhaps one bad egg burned them with a chargeback or something similar recently so all of us who knew of this "service" have lost access to it. That's really a shame since I can't seem to find any OTA who is able/willing to manually build an itinerary, they only want to sell you the cheapest available fare in your requested travel class, even when you want a higher fare class.
