Earned EB points for a flight I was not on
Last week I got EB points credited to my accoount for a flight I did not take. This has never happened to me before. I am curious to know if this has happened to you guys as well or if this was something very exceptional.
The detailed circumstances were the following: I had tickets for flights with LH on the route GVA-MUC-CPH. The flight GVA-MUC was cancelled and I was rebooked on the SK direct flight GVA-CPH. On my EB account I received basic points for both the SK flight GVA-CPH that I did take and the LH flight GVA-MUC that was actually cancelled! I didn't complain. ;) |
Several years back I got miles for a flight I did not fly. (Domestic Sweden) Did not have any flights that day and have never flown the route at all I got credited for.

I have had this happen several times before, on this exact route as well. Most often I have had to manual retroclaim with an accompanying note reminding them I should get the miles credited for the flights that I paid for. I usually then credit the miles for the rebooking to another program.
I believe that I even once managed to get all flights credited to the same FFP, but would need to check that. |
