SAS A343 spotted in SIN

My friend spotted a SAS A343 parked at SIN's cargo side on last Friday afternoon (14 Dec 2012). It took off from SIN at around 4pm without passengers.

Does anyone have any idea why the plane was at SIN?

Likely because of scheduled maintenance. Could be a C-check.

I was under the impression that checks was carried out at BKK?

Until mid 2012, the checks for the A2330/A340 fleet were performed by Iberia Maintentance in Madrid. I am not sure if that contract renewed, though.
