Limo Bus Transfer?

Hi,

Has anyone got any recommendations for a good limo/transfer company?

Basically a group of 20 of us are doing this years Bay to Breakers race next month, and would like to arrange a private transfer back from the end point in the Golden Gate Park to the Marriott Moscone and Westin St Francis.

I've tried looking online but most places seem to have a minimum 3 or 4 hour rental clause. The whole job should take them less than an hour including waiting time.

Thanks in advance!
Richard

I can see a few problems -

Are you a centipede and will all be ending at the same time? It is likely to be very crowded for parking at the end point so a large van may ned a paermit or otherwise find parking quite a ways away.

I don't see how there would be no waiting time?
Most charter services (which is what you are looking at for 20 people) charge a minimum - if you could get a 3 hr min you'd be in good shape.

That said I have used limos.com successfully for small groups - they also do bids for charter services w/ 3 hr min, but it looks like it's quite reasonable.

Hi Squeakr,

Thanks for your reply - we're not a centipede this year!

We were all finished for about 12pm last year, and didn't stay until the end of Footstock. But take your poutn about it being crowded, so 2 hours should really be enough.

Last year we did the MUNI and never again, the driver didn't know where they were going and it took ages to get anywhere. We ended up getting off halfway and walking the rest.

I'll take a look at limos.com as you suggest. I just thought it'd be a nice simple one way journey booking, but obviously not.

Thanks,
Richard

If you do not get an answer on here, I would suggest either contacting the Convention and Visitors Bureau or a DMC (Destination Management Company).
