February 6-29: The San Francisco Crab Festival is a monthlong series of culinary and cultural events celebrating the city's indigenous crustacean, and is marked by special Dungeness crab-centered menus at local restaurants, as well as at The Union Square Festival Celebration (February 21), showcasing Union Square chefs (for tickets and details, call 415-391-2000, or http://www.sfvisitor.org).
