For something off beat, I'll recommend the Thai Temple in Berkeley at 1911 Russell St. Cross street Martin Luther King.

This is a legitimate Thai temple that has an outdoor buffet line under a pavilion on Sunday mornings. Food like your mom used to make, if your mom was Thai and a good cook.

I haven't been there for a couple of weeks, but it was going strong then. I'll probably go again relatively soon and I'll update then.
