Steepest Street Intersection spots for greatview

Name specific street intersections in San Francisco where you have a picturesque scenic view looking down a sloping street. Thanks

California and Powell is probably the most iconic, California and Taylor/Mason would have a great view too as would lombard and Hyde or Filmore and Broadway.

Hi,

Agree with the above. Lombard and Hyde ( facing east) will offer the crooked street and the Bay ( and Telegraph hill and Coit Tower). California and Broadway should offer views of Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge depending on the location.

Although not a steet , I did like the cycle path going up the hill at Fort Mason ( by the hostel) for nice views

22nd between Vicksburg and Church. This won't give you the "classic view" department (although you'll see nicely across to the East Bay), but it will provide great photo ops of the sloped street (over 30% grade) and cars parked perpendicular to the sidewalk (head-in parking) with the Victorians standing upright. The sidewalk is a staircase.

Hands down the winner. The is maximum San Francisco with the steep hill, cable car, Bay Bridge and Bay.

BTW, California and Powell is the sole cable car line intersection. At the museum they have information on how the cars get past the underground obstacle of a cable for the other line.
