T1 Grand Opening

why do we not have a thread on this? Who is going?

I went to the T2 opening and got to fly on a DC3. Good times.

There’s a thread in community about a mini do planned for the opening.

We were scheduled to go but had some challenges we had to take care of today so had to miss it.

It got posted into the ongoing Bay Area meetup thread and took off from there.

They still haven't connected all the terminals airside. Asinine for a supposedly world class city/airport.

I am guessing that both T1s will be connected. And T1 (Delta) connects to T2. And eventually new T1 will connect to International A.

So, almost and soon...

And when, if ever, will T3 connect to T2 for the better food options?

That might be several years away. It'd be nice, but I think it's the least important airside connection to make. Once T2-T1C-T1B-International-A are all connected, then you'll have all One World, Sky Team and low-cost carriers connected. We already have Star Alliance connected with International-G-T3F-T3E.

The grand opening was a bit of a letdown. Mostly a fun environment and I did enjoy going, but I wish they had more of the dining options open!
