Police officer stabbed in confrontation at San Francisco Airport
SAN FRANCISCO — A man allegedly stabbed a police officer Tuesday afternoon in a baggage claim area at San Francisco International Airport, an airport spokesman said. Around 2:30 p.m., San Francisco police responded to a report of a suspicious person walking outside Terminal 1. Airport spokesman Doug Yakel said officers arrived to find a man who appeared to be homeless inside a baggage claim area. When confronted by the officers, the man allegedly stabbed one in the leg with a knife, Yakel said. |

The 49-year-old San Francisco Police Officer who was stabbed in the leg at the airport this week is “in great spirits and doing well,” police said Wednesday. He was treated and released from a hospital on the same day of the incident, but officials said “his full recovery will take a while.” |
