Post SFO worker struck by lightning

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) – A worker at the San Francisco International Airport was struck by lightning Monday night.

The worker who tows aircrafts was driving when he was struck, according to SFO manager on-duty Brian Horne.

That was quite an evening. Even the Giants had a rain delay. And more is on the way this afternoon. I thought that this was going to be my upcoming weather in New Orleans, not my pre-departure weather at home.

It seems that he was "nearly" struck by lightning, and didn't go to the hospital. Still, must have been scary to have such a close call.

And yes, the thunder and lightning show was spectacular and rare!
