A beautiful Hike with amazing views
 

If you are a plane spotter, love seeing San Francisco or the surrounding Bay Area then head over to San Bruno Mountain State Park. The Summit Loop Trail offers amazing views and for a $6(at the time of the article) entrance fee you can bring a picnic and explore an area that often is overlooked.

You may just catch the Lufthansa or Air France Airbus 380 and other widebodies flying over.

A few years ago I ran up and down this trail while my daughter was visiting a nearby high school. I don't recall any plane spotting, but it was a very pleasant experience with great vistas.

Another possibility is Bedwell Bayfront Park

which, at least last year, was in a reasonable location to spot planes making the turn from base leg onto final approach.
