I think they are contractually obligated not to open to PP per their exclusive agreement with Amex.

I think that is correct, wonder when lockup provision expires? Give the drop in traffic I would be looking to renegotiate. Then again there is nothing to negotiate as long as they stay closed. Hopefully this nonsense will be done by June 15 when Gavin has promised the whole state is open for biz.

They have their own kitchen. It's directly across the hall from the lounge.

Signs of life, but still closed ...

Yesterday AM, the lights were on, and someone in business attire was at one of the tables with a portfolio, etc. One can only hope he was preparing for a reopening prior to my next OAK departure

FWIW, the website will not let you book entry for Monday or Tuesday (June 28-29).

But...it will let you book for Wednesday, June 30! Let's hope that's the reopening day.

Still not open, as far as I can tell. I'm surprised. Air travel has really picked up, and Escape Lounge has done the whole rebranding with Amex. I wonder if they're having difficulty hiring sufficient staff.

Still not open, but at least it still appears on the website (while ONT has completely disappeared).

There's a thread for the ONT lounges down south in the LA subforum:Escape Lounge at ONT [Closed]

I thought ONT had two Escape Lounges? If so, maybe they closed one of them because of that?

They did. So strange that they're closing both of them. Things are close to back to normal at ONT. I wonder why they gave up on their lounges there.

The airport's July newsletter says it'll be opening "soon." I'll be there Friday so I'll check it out then.

Every time I see that there's new a post in this thread,
I've got high hopes
I've got high hopes
I've got high apple pie In the sky hopes...

And then I open the thread to disappointment.

Lounge is open once again! 11am-7pm. Amex Plat holders can use it on arrival which is very convenient as my flight got in at 10:55am this morning.

The entire food&drinks menu is on a QR code, everything has to be ordered from a server. I had a soup, sandwich, and cookie, all were fine. There was also a salmon main dish that I didn't try as there was a 15-minute wait to receive it.

Enjoying my first visit in a while. The lounge is vastly improved - no more overcrowding - virtually all Amex Plat now since Norwegian and BA are both gone from OAK and no more priority pass. Food selection is way better and everything is personally served to you due to nonsensical post Covid regs. Staff is wonderful (of course old staff was too). Drinks are stiff!

I am increasing my rating and highly recommend the new improved Escape. Only downside is the 7pm closing time.
