Is there a mail drop box airside at SFO?

I need to mail my absentee ballot at SFO before I leave the US on Friday and the way this week is going for me, the only time I will have to fill it out is on my flight from SMF to SFO.

Is there a mail drop box anywhere airside at SFO?

I can get into the UCs to mail it, if necessary.

Thanks in advance.

According to http://www.flysfo.com/services-ameni...enger-services, no.

Not sure if there is one airside but I know there is one on upper deck (terminal 3 United) at the end towards the international terminal where one smokes. Pre-check just inside the door there. Thanks for voting!

For more discussion, let's share this with the readers of the San Francisco forum. Ocn Vw 1K, Moderator.

[I'll be at SFO T3 tomorrow, will search for airside mailboxes and post what I find.]

Also landside intl terminal, departures level by the roadway just outside the UA ticketing area. I always seem to need to mail something the day I leave town...

thank you everyone. back in the PMUA RCC days, it was possible to mail a stamped letter/parcel with the agents in the club. post-merger, i have to surmise that this is no longer possible, or maybe it is?

One caution about using another (i.e., United Club agent) to mail your ballot. A ballot is unlike a utility bill or tax return, in that it requires the voter to sign, under penalty of perjury, a statement of mailing on the envelope. Be sure to read that statement to determine if you may entrust your ballot to another to mail.

One other possibility: if you're anywhere near a US Embassy or Consulate wherever you're going, you might be able to drop it off with American Citizen Services there. It would be good to find out if there's specific rules, person or timing at the specific embassy you would go to.

Just curious - our absentee ballot does not say anything about where it needs to be mailed from - so I just wonder why you need to mail it at SFO.

PV_Premier, I did an airside-search this a.m. for US Mail boxes at SFO T3 and came up empty. Also this was confirmed by experienced UA staff. As noted above, there are US Mail boxes at each SFO Terminal but none are airside.

If you have any chance to get to SMF early, I'd suggest marking your ballot and mailing there. (Must be a land-side box there.)

For those suggesting foreign mailing, if a Calif. ballot, the voted ballot has to be received by the County Registrar's office (or a county polling place) by Nov. 4, 8:00 p.m., for the next election, regardless of when the ballot was mailed or postmarked. I trained poll workers for many years and this requirement has been on the books a long time. So I'd say that the earlier and geographically closer the OP can mail to ballot's destination, the more likely it'll be counted.

thank you to everyone for the feedback and previous thread links and a special thanks to Ocn Vw 1K for the search of the T3 airside area!

i will have to carve out time to get this done before i leave it seems, maybe during my hired car ride to SMF will be an option. all these ridiculous propositions make the ballot take WAYYYY too long in California. :td:

but alas, this is not OMNI PR, so thanks again to everyone!

If you do this, the post office in Davis might be the fastest

I'm not sure if this helps your situation, but I think the International Terminal United Club has a FedEx box.
