CLEAR coming to SJC in Setember
 
Just got an email from CLEAR member services:

Great news! San Jose International Airport (SJC) will be joining our growing airport network this September. After launching in San Francisco a year ago, we are thrilled that CLEAR will be serving even more travelers in the Bay Area.

We are excited to come to Silicon Valley, an area that values cutting edge technology, and bring the fastest, most predictable way through airport security to San Jose travelers.

Know anyone who lives in or travels to San Jose? Refer them to CLEAR with your personal link so they can speed through airport security when we open in September. Don't forget to let them know that we're now open in San Antonio and are coming to Houston this fall!

Great news. I love using the CLEAR line at SFO.

EDIT: looks like this will be in both terminals based on http://clearme.com/where-it-works

If you started getting PreCheck at all regularly, you'd run away from Clear so quickly that physicists might conclude there was something faster than the speed of light.

If WN had Pre-Check I'd dump my membership faster than....well, no, yours was pretty fast :)

Am I missing something here?? Yes, if one gets Pre-Check regularly Clear is superfluous, but not so toxic walking wouldn't be fast enough. Why the lightening speed? (Flying out of SJC Saturday so too bad Clear is not quite there!)

Have always appreciated Clear out of SFO so genuinely curious.

That's completely absurd. Pre-check does not always work and does not cover family members. Pre-check lines can also be longer at some airports with so many elites (like UA at SFO). With Clear there is never a line and you cut right to the front of the conveyor belt.

Personally I rarely use SJC as it is not convenient for me, but nice to know that I will not have to worry about a TSA line (last time I think it was 20m there). Now all we need is OAK to complete the trifecta though to be fair I rarely have to wait there either.
