free birthday entrees

My wife and I used our free birthday entree certificates the other day for lunch. It was a convenient time to go and I was afraid we would not get full value (up to $40). Indeed, the most expensive lunch entree was $15.95, I think.

However, they were promoting Alaska king crab legs. Found out they were $40 a pound and the certs were valid. So, we each had a king crab feast for lunch, with side salads. Total bill was less than $5. Account received full points (85). I tipped on the pre-discounted amount, so it looked like a 300% tip on the receipt.

The only hope I can give you is 10 days ago, they advertised the same $20 off $40 coupon for the Burbank, Ca. McCormick & Schmicks in the L.A. Weekly. I used it on Thanksgiving Day for their $18.95 Traditional Turkey Dinner w/ my mom. Hopefully that's a sign corporate is still allowing these kinds of promos.

I got a nice coupon (no restrictions on purchase amount, meal, or party size) in a mailer related to one of my Citibank MasterCards but don't know which one - plan to use for Christmas Eve.

Do you have a PremierPass Elite card with Citibank?

I got one of these with a Citi AA MC...it was for $10 off, no restriction on spend as long as you use a MC.

Hope this works based on this thread over on SD http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthr...9907&t=1070818

This does require a past purchase receipt from McCormick and Schmick's. You'll see my post #8 on the SlickDeals.net thread on how I figured out how to get the code from my receipt of two weeks ago.

Fill out the survey and get authorization code for $20 off your next guest check. www.mccormickandschmicksfeedback.com

Sweet, thanks! I usually have several M&S receipts around. :)

Not a great deal-but a good one.

Double preferred points through the end of the year.
Buy $100 in gift cards and get a $25 dining certificate free(this almost trumps the costco deal if you actually dine at M&S and you have enough cook books!) and if you buy the cards in the restaurant you get 100 MSPG points.

I eat here often-so will make use of this offer.

If you plan on visiting McCormick and Schmick's on a regular basis, it's in your best interest to sign up for their Preferred Guest membership. You pay a $25 enrollment fee, but receive a $25 dining certificate. Each year, you receive a certficate for a free dinner for your birthday. You receive 1 point/$1 spent, and the points you receive can be used for free desserts, lunches, dinners, etc.

How is $125 in dining for $100 better than $100 for $79.99?
The first is a 20 percent discount $25/$125, the second is a 20.01 percent discount

With the first, you receive MSPG points, the second you don't.

Thanks kipper ^
Actually it worked out better for me than I imagined it would :D
I bought $400 in GC's for myself=4x $25 dining certs to give as gifts.
They credited my MSPG card with the purchase x 2 because of a double points promo plus 100 extra points. So I have enough MSPG points for a nother nice gift card to give as a gift :D

But this will only work if you have interest in eating often at M&S(which I do-ate there on christmas actually :D )and do not need/want the cookbook/dvd that you get in the costco package-I have three of those in my regifting closet
