Care to elaborate how this program works? (their website at least?)

Reading email, responding to offers, shopping portal...etc? The payout structure/threshold (quarterly? monthly? paper check or Papal?)? Referral bonuses?

If there's referral bonus, it could be a conga.

Site pays out twice a month. Monetary payout is Visa gift cards, but they also do prizes like Playstations, Wii systems, etc. Biggest prizes were a Garmin Nuvi and a 32" flat-screen. No "complete this offer crap" like the other sites. It's very simple. As for referrals, I only get a bonus if I get a several referrals (and even then, it isn't a very substantial amount). Again, this site does not do referral links, only invites by email.

-No emails to read daily, but they do send out a newsletter every couple of weeks (and you get points for that as well).
-Have to respond to offers: None. Zip. Zero. Nada.
-They do have a shopping portal for travel, but nothing really better than you can already get online.
-They have message boards, chat rooms, all the social "friends" stuff (even a dating thingamabob).

Send me a new junk email address and find out for yourself. It's not a shady operation. It's really a neat site.

I don't think you'll get many takers unless you provide the actual website so people can take a look. "Mystery Points Program" just sounds fishy. If you don't get a referral bonus anyway, you lose nothing by posting the website address.

Thanks for the added details. Nothing personal but I always need to know the logistics before I commit myself to any incentive program, let it be points, miles, or $$$.

Something's still fuzzy to me. If no required email reading, no shopping necessary, no need to sign up offers, how do you significatly "build up" your account balance with this mystery points program exactly?

Any extra $$$ for a poor grad student like me is always welcome. You'd earned $750 in 3 months just by doing those "social friends" stuff (if it is indeed that simple)? Sounds like what we FTers are doing right here. And get paid? Even better. :D:D

Here is what I see from a quick look at the site:
It is not by email invitation only.
You can sign up without a referral code and don't need one.
The referrer gets 10,000 points for 5 sign-ups--except for this April & May, when there are 20,000 points for the sign-ups.

The original post has been edited to clarify that. Sorry, I did not notice that. Yes, there is a referral bonus equivalent to about two weeks of daily activity. It's not a lot, but it's nice to get.

Referrals are flying around on many boards and the site has increased membership quite a bit these past two weeks or so. I can get my daily points done in about 15 minutes per day. There was a time when I could get done in under 10 minutes per day, but they changed the site a bit. Either way, you can make about $3 per day and have four accounts per IP address. Myself, my wife and my older daughter each have an account and we made enough these past few weeks to have some nice spending money for vacation.

Also, in the chat room one night, it was said that you could earn $600 in debit cards AND $600 in valued merchandise before a 1099 form would be necessary. Sounds wrong to me as well, but I'll cross that bridge when I get that much $$$.

For anyone who doesn't want to do the math, based on the rewards, the approximate value of a point is 0.2 cents (or 5 points per cent). That's kind of paltry compared to other sites... even MyPoints, with not-so-great redemption values, has points valued at more than 3 times that amount and it seems easier to earn them from MyPoints. The daily investment required to earn points here (logging in, playing crosswords, etc.) does not seem worth it... to me, anyway.

I get 1650 points per day for about 15 minutes of work (I'm a gold member).

$250 gift card = 125,125 points

125,125/1650 daily = 76 days for gift card

15 minutes per day x 76 days = 19 hours of activity needed

$250/19 hours of work = $13.16 an hour.

It's better than MyPoints (and I;ve been with that site for years and I have their credit card). BoomerTowne is better hands down.

what exactly do you do to get so many points so quickly???

I guess these are only for US and Canada residents.

I have a list of things I do in order each time. Tabbed web browsing also speeds things up. I will admit I do slow down and read the quotes, maybe check out a recipe or two, but mostly it's a hit and run on each portion of the site. As for videos, nobody said you actually have to watch the whole thing (points credit immediately). Each member has their own method, but the pros can finish in around 15 minutes.

Here's what our family's accounts have generated so far since I joined late last year:

*$25 Visa gift card from a chat room prize (site owner pops in and awards the room sometimes)
*Two book lights from daily trivia contest (they're really cool, although it's not a prize anymore)
