E-Rewards Major Program Devaluation! - NW invitees

Just got this now, and can confirm that I can now only redeem for NW, no more AA, CO, DL, FB, etc!

If you haven't got this yet, now is the time to redeem!

As for me, I'm through with E-Rewards, this is the last straw.

"Dear ctownflyer,

Thank you for participating in the e-Rewards Opinion Panel. We are pleased to offer a new benefit for our Members who accepted an invitation to join e-Rewards from Northwest Airlines.

Effective immediately, you can redeem your e-Rewards Currency once every calendar quarter for Rewards from WorldPerks®. http://www.e-rewards.com/rewardspartner.do?partner=3058

That's up to four times as many WorldPerks miles each year! And, with this new benefit, WorldPerks miles become your exclusive frequent flyer mileage Reward.

Thanks again for being an e-Rewards Member. Be sure to visit your Reward Center http://www.e-rewards.com/rewards.do
for details about the Rewards available from Northwest Airlines. While you're there, take a look at the new Rewards we've added from BLOCKBUSTER® and other great companies.

We value your time!

The e-Rewards Team"

beat me to it. I just got the same thing in my inbox. It would appear that this is following the same pattern as the Delta only redemptions. Looks like I will be getting some Hilton points and ending this relationship.

Bollocks!

After all the trouble of cancelling my FB-only e-rewards account and hunting around for an invitation that worked..who did I sign up through? NWA. At least they don't send me enough surveys for me to ever redeem, so I can't be too livid. :p

It would be great if ERewards would let people chose between the 4 times per year NW award or the option to have one NW award and access to the other awards. Fortunately for me, I was invited directly by someone at E-Rewards, and not via a hotel or airline.

Could a mod change the title to reflect that this is only for NW invitees, and/or merge this with the Delta thread and appropriately modify its title? Having a few dozen nearly identical e-Rewards threads is getting a bit... something.

I don't even remember how I was invited... probably through Hilton, though maybe even from Blockbuster, I don't know. Definitely not from an airline. Was a long time ago, though...

I'd RBPed this thread title to our mod this afternoon when I first read this thread. I believe jsm hasn't logged into FT to take care of it just yet.

I do agree there are too many thread dancing on the same/similar e-Rewards issues. Thread merging should solve this cluttering problem.

I just got the same email. I was lucky to have redeemed 2000 miles for my DL a few days ago.

It looks like all of the airlines are going to switch to this eventually. I already used my AA for this year so I'll probably get out once I redeem my nwa miles. Although I signed up through Delta and I have been unaffected so I really don't have any complaints about any of this.

Well son of biscuit, I got the e-mail but didn't notice that it got rid of all the other airlines redemption options. Ah well, guess I probably wouldn't ever redeem for another airline anyways.

^ This new development works well for me. Out of desperation, I once had to dump miles into my orphan US account.

I joined via Hilton and hope I won't be limited to that for redemptions.

I'm so glad I signed up through E-Rewards itself way back in '04. I still have endless options available. I'd be pretty upset, too, if I were all of you.

The opposite is also true, where as you can redeem to different airlines, you are limited to a max of 2000 miles per airline a/c per year, where as I can redeem a max of 8000 miles into my NW a/c. It depends on how you look at it.

Cant people with unlimited options redeem 2000 per airline per year PLUS 8,000 for NW?
