Restaurant.com question

Hey Everyone,

I've never used Restaurant.com and just recieved $100 in vouchers. I was wondering, can these be used when eating solo or MUST you have 2 diners present? Please let me know your experiences trying to dine solo with these dining vouchers. Thanks!

The terms and conditions are determined by each individual restaurant, including minimum purchase, eligible days/times, and number of diners. These terms are available on the certificates as well as the Restaurant.com website, and it's up to the restaurant to enforce or ignore their own rules.

Some restaurants are willing to overlook the minimum number of diners if you're buying enough food to make it worthwhile (e.g. two entrees for one person). But most are using the service to cheaply acquire new business... and they're very strict about their rules.

When I first started buying from rest.com, they had some great offers and places to choose from. Now, that selection has been reduced dramatically and I cannot use them anymore.

I started using the certs about three months ago. There's a great benefit to being able to buy a cert, print it off immediately, and then go straight to the restaurant and use it. The terms and conditions are quite strict, and I've found none to bend the rules, with just one exception: the rules applied to dinner, but I was allowed to use the cert for breakfast. Call before you go if you want to see if they will be flexible.

My main question revolves around the website terms and conditions. They state "valid only with 2 diners unless otherwise stated". Some places say 3 or 4 diners. However, I was wondering if anyone's ever used this for dining solo, since the vouchers themselves don't mention the 2 diner minimum, only the website. Has anyone ever dined alone, that is my main question?
