It is time consuming but I just do it from the office while I'm on the phone with clients or while watching TV at home

Agree. This year is not good. I think the amazing boxes of emptiness is lame and a waste of points and I am far from excited by shutterfly tie-ins.
As a member it's a tough call on whether to cash out and at least get something if they cancel the program or let the points roll until next season. MCR has had another great year even before the Holiday rewards. The last 2 years have been particularly good. I just wish I had more points, more bonus point opportunities, and a higher weekly limit. Speaking generally, when it comes to loyalty programs (points/miles/whatever) if you find something you want (or can use/sale) burn em and cash out.

I'm just throwing this option out there- not sure how well it would work - but I believe there's a site called cardpool.com where you can sell your gift cards to people and get actual cash for them. If you don't like the gift cards being offered by MCR, buy them anyway and cash them out via cardpool? (there's a conga for the site in this forum so you'd get a bonus for signing up on top of that). I'm gonna go see if this is an option myself.

NIKE now OOS I guess that wraps up "the 12 days of nothing much".
12 pack also OOS but MCR may (or may not) restock again. |

So there's now a grand total of 5 prizes at the Gold level (2 of which are magazines). One heckuva an incentive to attain status .... tls

Just a reminder for those getting the 12-pk coke redemptions that there is a way to leverage this further though Walmart Savings Catcher. Use the the free 12-pack coupons to make your purchase at Walmart and then submit a Savings Catcher price match request. If you time it right you can get some money back (better than free).
My local Walmart typically has 12 packs at $5 and local grocery stores run specials at $2.50 to $3 frequently. Therefore the 'free' 12 pack will also net $2-$2.5 back from savings catcher. YMMV but this has worked for me last year. Savings catcher explicitly allows use of coupons and match to non-coupon price. http://savingscatcher.walmart.com/faq "What happens if I use coupons? No problem, you can still use Savings Catcher. If you use a coupon, Savings Catcher will compare the original Walmart price of the item, before the coupon was applied, to other stores’ advertised prices for the same item. For example: You bought cookies at Walmart. The shelf price was $3 and you used a coupon for $0.25, so you paid $2.75. If Savings Catcher finds that a competitor advertised those same cookies for $2.00, Savings Catcher will still credit you $1.00, even though you paid only $2.75 at Walmart." |

I forgot about that ^^^ I think I recently saw they were doing the 2x bonus again, don't know when that ended. But also keep in mind a lot of stores are now off the Savings Catcher/ price - matching list so it will be more difficult this year, I know I pocketed a good $100 or so from that last year.

Probably a wrap for Holiday rewards but historically, MCR has offered another opportunity just before Christmas (not on Christmas), for 30 point Coke 12-pack redemption. Seeing a renewed 12 pack option, I would guess that it will be active again.
