IIRC, CVS processes the card based on the initial total, then subtracts the coupons, so you'd meet the minimum spend. Likewise, you can then use the cash card to buy additional Coke, thus earning another cash card. If you are limited to one cash card/CVS Extra Rewards card, that's not a big deal if you have multiple people in the household. :)

From the terms:
Limit 5 free $10 CVScash cards per cardholder per week.

Question....If you purchase just one 12 pack would it ring up @ $3.33 or at a higher price?

I am just wondering the best way to utilize the coke coupons and the CVS promo....

My guess, since it doesn't say that you must buy 3, is that it will ring up at $3.34 or such.

Okay, so I got most of mine today. If they are $3.33, you have to buy 10 of them at one time. You can only use 5, you say?

On the coupon, it says only one coupon per purchase. What does that actually mean? One coupon allowed per transaction? Or one coupon for every 12 pack?

Someone must have gone to CVS already and tried it, eh?

The sale doesn't start until Sunday. I've never had trouble using more than one coupon per transaction.

IIRC, and it's been a while since I've done a sale like this at CVS, but the purchases do not need to be in one transaction to receive a card, but rather, they track it with your card, and issue the coupon once you hit the $30.

Right, you don't have to make the $30 threshold in one transaction -- you can do it in dribs and drabs the entire week (Sunday - next Saturday).

FYI, the following week CVS is repeating this sort of promotion but the 12 packs I think will be valued at about $2.25 each -- a good price for the soda if you are actually buying it, but if you are using your free coupons, you want the highest retail price per 12 pack you can get so that you can hit that $30 threshold more easily/quickly. If you are in between with the number of coupons you have, then consider that this upcoming week has more than just Coke that qualifies for that $30 threshold whereas the following week may present fewer opportunities to hit the $30 threshold with non-Coke items.

By the way, because CVS is running this sort of promotion, I would not be at all surprised if other drug or grocery stores will also be running this sort of promotion in the next several weeks as they are usually paid to do this by the manufactuerers of the items targeted by the subject promotion. So look at your local upcoming circulars carefully.

OK, I just looked at the upcoming CVS ad for this Sunday and the 12 packs are 3/$11, so $3.67 each. Coke 2L are $1.33 and other products that qualify are things like Ajax, All, Hershey's, Reeses, Pringles and other products. Therefore, 8 12 packs and 1 2L bottle should qualify you for the cash card.

The following week, Coke 12 packs are 3/$9 with other items that qualify like Wisk, Dawn, triscuit, Duracell, etc. Coke 2L are again $1.33 each. Here, 10 12 packs should qualify you. If you purchase these items, the 12 packs are roughly $2 per 12 pack, factoring in the $10 cash card, and this is quite a good price, if you are going to use the cash card at CVS in the future. I believe it has no expiration date.

If only CVS still had DC with Lime and CFDC I'd have it made.

Hey, I wished they'd carry Diet Coke Vanilla!

Got my 12 pack coupon today. The one I won in the Instant Win game back on 11/22 is still being processed

I've seen both at my local CVS, I think. Often, when they have sales like this, the only options left when I stop are Diet Coke (non standard, some variety, be it Lime or Plus, or something), Caffeine Free Diet Coke, and Coke Zero.

Just wondering, do other stores still sell Vanilla Coke? Never see it in my area anymore.

I have seen Diet Vanilla Coke in my local supermarkets, but only in the 12 packs. I believe that other regions might still sell it in the 2L bottle.

I was at Kroger tonight and bought Vanilla coke zero. If they make Vanilla coke zero, I would think they still make vanilla coke.

Could only be available in certain markets as well. I have seen diet mello yello a few times when travelling but can't find it anywhere in Ohio or Michigan.

NJUPINTHEAIR Jan 5, 2013 8:35 pm

Yeah, meant Vanilla Coke Zero.

I believe if you were to do a google search you would find a listing of what flavors Coke makes and/or a guide for what can be earned from My Coke Rewards and extrapolate backwards.

I wish Coke's site would tell what retailers carried various flavors. I would love to find Diet Mello Yello around here.

If anyone is a coke fan and in Atlanta the world of coke is a must see. It is interesting to get to taste all the flavors of coke products. I am surprised the world of coke doesn't have an exhibit on MCR:)
