Now that you are sufficiently aggravated. May I add that you should just redeem your points for whatever you can as quick as you can and forget MCR. These people are in ATL. What is the thought process of people in ATL that manage loyalty programs?

It's southern fishing with a crooked twist.
1. Lure them in.
2. Get them hooked.
3. Play with them for awhile. (because it amuses you)
4. Take their life away.
5. Enjoy your bounty of profit.

Stupid, stupid fish, always wanting a free meal!

No you should not take a whole bunch of friends caps and enter them into one account.

What about the ghetto thief that goes into sams and takes the numbers off of case packs and never buys the product. Shouldn't be able to do that either.

People should not go to the ball field and pick up all of the caps on the ground and enter them either.

People should not go in the trash and get the caps out of there.

This is just wrong. Only enter what you buy and drink yourself.

PS:BS
Interesting moral judgments, especially as picking up caps from a field would have the benefit of cleaning up trash from a field. I don't participate in the MCR program anymore (I did a couple years ago in a limited fashion), but I don't recall there ever being a directive about the "spirit" of the program. If you get into the business of telling people what they should value and how they should value them, then you go down the road of telling people that they shouldn't collect leaves because the "spirit" of trees is to let them fall onto the ground and decompose... and if someone wanted to sell their leaf collection - wow - now they are really violating the "spirit" of nature.

That was never the spirit of the program. No he should not be able to do it. (Why throw away those codes)

No you should not take a whole bunch of friends caps and enter them into one account. (Who cares if others help you get a reward, I don't but apparently someone does)

What about the ghetto thief that goes into sams and takes the numbers off of case packs and never buys the product. Shouldn't be able to do that either. (I don't like theives no matter what they take)

People should not go to the ball field and pick up all of the caps on the ground and enter them either. (My family has done this every year since MCR began until last year, not worth it anymore)

People should not go in the trash and get the caps out of there.
(As long as they don't strow the trash, I don't care)
This is just wrong. Only enter what you buy and drink yourself. (sure and you will never get anything of any value because the program will end before you get to the dangling carrot or it will move farther away)

PS:BS (I guess one FT'er has never heard the expression "BS", duh )

What a joke. Another one of those "refreshing enhancements".

You can (and have always been able to) use direct URLs to load the authentication cookie and enter codes. No visiting the main site, or no gadgets, required.

We should all send a reply email telling them where they can put their "program enhancement."

Where did this message come from?

For those interested, here is MCR's explanation on 120 points per week.

More than 97% of our members enter fewer than 120 points per week. For these members, the new weekly points limit gives them more flexibility to enter the codes in a single visit if that works best for them.

Less than 3% of our members enter more than 120 points per week, yet these members take over 30% of our rewards. Many of these members enter way more points than any household could possibly buy and drink, so it's clear that they are getting codes from other means. We want to reward the people who are buying our products, so we had to fix this inequity. Keep in mind that 120 points is the same as 40 2-liter bottles or 12 12-packs every week. That's a lot of product for even our most loyal families, and if someone is buying that much of our product, we need to ensure that we have rewards available to reward them.
IF this was an official message from Coke and or Coke MCR, we ALL would have received it... PLEASE explain WHERE you got this information...
possibly a canned "scripted message" when you called Coke MCR customer service ?

Exclamation Interesting Points from the Official (still posted) MCR website

From the official RULES:

1. It's STILL POSTED that 10 codes per MCR account per day
is ALLOWED.

2. Program ends midnight NOVEMBER 30, 2009 not Decvember 31, 2009

3. Redemptions must be made before midnight December 31, 2009

I'm used to arguing with people in the DL forum who are hell bent on slamming the company and management no matter what. I believe what I said, but might have been a bit too blunt. My point is simply that MCR points should be able to be used anyway people feel like... once they are offered, it need not matter if you buy them, collect them, pick them out of garbage, or anything else.

Yup, though doing that requires cutting and pasting into the URL. Easier for me to just use the gadget. Both methods far better than using the flash site, however!

That's what favorites are for. One favorite to load the authentication cookie, another favorite to load a previously redeemed entry. Then just replace the last field, and the code is entered.

Yea! Priority Club is back!

I think I'm going to stay out of the discussion about how we should or should not collect points. I'm just going to bask in the glow of being able to redeem for Priority Club points again.
