Points.com & Earning Miles for Purchases
I recently singed up for Points.com and am considering using their links to popular retailers to get miles on my DL account. Since I would only be making purchases of items I would buy anyway, it seems like an easy way to get some free miles. (And since I charge on my DL Skymiles Amex card, it's sort of like double-dipping.
) Many of the Points.com offers are for 2 or 3 miles for each dollar spent and there are dozens of retailers such as Target, Gap, Barnes & Noble, etc.
However, my suspicious nature makes me somewhat unconvinced that the miles offered will actually get deposited to my DL account. Has anyone had experiece with making purchases through the links offered on Points.com?
Sorry if this duplicates other posts here, my search only turned up threads regarding transferring miles between programs using Points.com.

If you're just planning on earning Delta SkyMiles, you're far better off using Delta's own SkyMiles Shopping Mall, at http://skymilesshopping.com/. Going through Points.com will probably work, but I've never really trusted Points.com.

Thanks for your reply. I currently use Delta's own shopping site to earn miles however Points.com has a wider range of retailers. I guess I'll give Points.com a try and see if the miles post to my account.

The only thing to beware is that points.com's conversion rate stinks. They are always my absolute last choice for points/miles.
