This coupon totally didn't work in Austin Texas. Actually, they pretty much belittled me in front of other people..."uh, we only accept not fake coupons. Did you still want your iced mocha?"
|
Sorry for the double post, not paying attention.

Haven't tried this yet, but it does seem strange that Starbucks logo wasn't on it (at least not on the version I pulled from Slickdeals).
|
I love free Starbucks. Thanks.

Works in ATL
My wife and I got two freebies with two of these coupons last night on Indian Trial Road in Atlanta. The girl behind the counter said we're not the first to come in with them.
I'll try another outlet tomorrow! Great find... |
Tried to use the coupon at one of the Starbucks at my building in NYC. Was immediately told it was a fake and they were not accepting. Oh well. So much for trying that Pumpkin Spice Frappucino on the house. :(

keep trying

I tried to use it in Pasadena. The barrista babe said it was fake--although she mentioned they had already accepted a handful already. When I said how it worked in downtown LA she said that I should tell that Starbucks that it was fake. Hmm, don't think so. Good news is that there is a *bucks on every corner....I'll just keep trying. |
La
which one in LA downtown?

If I had to guess, it would be the one at the Wells Fargo center on Grand and 4th....but like I said, there is one on every corner. |
I brought it into a *Bucks near me (chantilly) and had it out saying i didn't know if it was valid or not. He knew what it was immediately and said it wasn't real, but he'd honor it for me which I appreciated. Now that I know they are definitely fakes, I won't be using it anymore.

Used it yesterday in Capitola, CA for 2 iced coffees. The barista said we were the second and third people to present it.
|
I thought this sounded too good to be true. It would have been nice, though.

Well this keeps getting more interesting:
http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/nothing/starbucks.asp Snopes.com- the urban legend page- says it is real and valid until Sep 30th. It started as a promotion in the southeast US, but so many emails were forwarded, that all stores are supposed to accept it. It also says that some stores may not have gotten the message that they should honor it. Calls the Starbuck's person listed- and her voicemail now says this promotion is only valid only in the Southeast region... |
i used the coupon this weekend, they said they never seen it but where happy to accept it, if they say its a fake or wont take it, tell them use the 113 code and that their system will take it, it states starbucks in the fine print.
