Nice! Even though my Marriotts provide me with WSJ, this will be convenient (at least for the next 10 days)

Anyone have any luck getting a past article for free (no $4.95 fee) with this 10 day free access?

No luck with that. Seems that the "free access" doesn't include past articles

Good to know, as I stopped visiting that site long ago. Now I will try again for a few days. Thanks!

A subscription to the WSJ.com gives access to free articles for the past 90 days. Some columns or features have free articles that go back further than 90 days.

Thanks for the info. That may be my only solution to accessing "Down and Out in Bloomfield Hills", a recent article about overspending in the Detroit suburbs. Or maybe I'll ask a subscriber friend to get it for me, so I don't overspend myself :)

I happen to have an electronic copy of that article. I can PM you it if you would like.
