Coupon Connection?

First, I apologize: Clearly this message doesn't belong in this forum.

But for the life of me I can't figure out which forum it DOES belong in.

And after a month of waiting for a reply to my flyertalk.com "help" e-mail, I have a hunch whoever is supposed to "help" doesn't plan to respond.

Question: Does "Coupon Connection" still exist?

If so....Where the heck is it?

Or have I imagined its very existence?

Thanks to any who might be kind enough to reply....

I believe it only shows after 90 posts and a certain amount of time as a member

SanDiego1K Jan 11, 2006 11:09 pm

Here is one of the threads in Only Randy Petersen, where the guidelines are given - 90 days and 90 posts. The rules changed in 2005; I see you are a long time member, thus would have had access at one time.

LisaH Jan 11, 2006 11:21 pm

After this post, I shall be able to access to Coupon Connection. Finally! :D

Aha!

That leads to the next question:

What's the best forum in which to post my 47 irrelevant comments re: travel, food, luggage, points, airports, etc....?

Thanks to all who jumped in to help!

1KDAN Jan 11, 2006 11:27 pm

Actually, just 46 to go now....

LisaH Jan 11, 2006 11:30 pm

1KDAN, I felt your pain!

However, after reaching 90 posts, I still don't see the Coupon Connnection. Maybe tomorrow?

Curse my Florida public school education!

Should be "55" more, not "45."

Expect to see lots of brief, "I agree!" messages.

Did you try quitting and then relaunching your browser? Maybe you need to be in a new session for it to kick in.

Meanwhile, only 43 to go....

wheresdg Jan 11, 2006 11:54 pm

I'll see it one day.... ;)

LisaH Jan 11, 2006 11:54 pm

Yes I did.

BTW, you got your math wrong again. ;)

Just a friendly note that FT owner Randy Petersen has been known to reset poster's post counts for "post padding"

A friendly fyi :)

It depends.

Try to look into the under "Travel & Dining" or "Community" and see which subforum is most relevant to your "irrelevant" comments. ;) Your comment on a specific airports might even belong to one of the "Airline Programs."

In addition to the 90/90 requirement the forum was moved from Miles&Points over to Community. Now when you reach your goal, you'll know where to find it. Happy posting!

And so the debate continues. Is it better to have me submit stupid replies...

or should lurkers like myself be allowed to view it, if I show that I am a loyal member by keeping up my membership over time.

And I have over 12,000 of them :o :o

Food for thought...

Most people would agree that the most famous frequent flyer of all time is Pudding Guy. In the 6+ years since he joined FT he's only had 234 posts, a rate of .11 posts per day. At that rate if he were to join FT today it would take him over 2 years before he had the required number of posts to be CC-eligible.

jenn_1K Jan 12, 2006 9:44 am

Thanks for the post. One of my posts was moved (to OMNI I think) but I don't have access to it so I can't see any replies. At least I know why now.

I need to speed up then. I'm at 0.07 posts per day. ^

Oh come on... really? I can see if it is blatant, such as here, where the poster says "Here I am posting to get CC access", but there are plenty of threads around that could count as "post padding", IMO.

Thsi has been discussed many times and is in the rules of Flyertalk. I am closing thsi thread.
