Despite having my ipod mini for more than a year, this is the first time I used the itunes music store. Definitely a typical Apple experience (one that doesn't mean good things for my wallet!)

Question: Has anyone won this promo recently - say the last week or so?

I ask because this game was very easy to win early on but - at least for all my friends and family members who've been trying on a daily basis for the past week or so - it's been all zeros. On the promo home page Colgate says that they are giving away 99,999 free iTunes, I could be wrong but my theory is that ALL of the iTunes have now been given away and no more are available even though the promo doesn't officially end until midnight July 22.

While we're at it take a look at this ebay auction for 99 iTunes: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=5595008666 , note that the seller says, "The codes will expire on October 31, 2005 and must be redeemed and used by then," keep in mind that the free iTunes obtained from Colgate also expire on Oct 31 - what a coincidence! I'd bet my bottom dollar this auction's 99 songs all came from the Colgate promo, somehow I don't think that the Colgate people intended for one person to win the game 33 times...

I won just yesterday or the day before with an e-mail address that had lost maybe 4 or 5 times before winning. It might be getting harder to win, but I don't think they're out of songs yet.

Agree. Just won a couple of hours ago too after trying for many days.

It also looks like they release winning games in batches. I have registered my relatives emails addresses and was loosing for 5 days (always using one address after the other).Then suddenly today, all of them were on a winning streak...
