What's Palm?
|
According to Yahoo!,
The Palm restaurant is the oldest family-owned white tablecloth restaurant to expand across the United States and still maintain family ownership. Pio Bozzi and John Ganzi's original New York City steak house on Second Avenue is now a thriving empire of 18 restaurants spanning the Americas from East Hampton, New York, to Los Angeles. From coast to coast, people know that the Palm is synonymous with prime steaks and outrageously outsized lobsters. What many don't realize is that the Palm is thoroughly family-bred. It has been run by the sons and now by the grandsons of both founding partners. Walk into the Palm, and you are joining a party that's been going strong for three generations. You are welcomed with a smile, and before you know it, you're raising a glass, swept up and away by the spirit of the place. The Dallas Palm was the ninth Palm Restaurant to open across the country and the second to open in the great state of Texas back in 1983. The Palm has become a favorite for Dallas celebrities like Emmitt Smith of the Cowboys and Herb Kellerher, CEO of Southwest Airlines. Price Range: Dinner $40-60 |
Any Palm?

My guess is he's giving it away if someone PMs him.

I am definitely interested in finding out more regarding the $25 savings. We have a wonderful Palm Restaurant right here in New York City, which I wouldn't mind visiting this weekend. ;)
Could you share how one may come upon one of these coupons? |

Thank You!! I had never heard of the Palm 837 Club until I received a PM from another FT member.
dgreen12 was kind enough to share the following information with me: Join the "837 Club" at www.thepalm.com $20 enrollment fee, they send you a $20 coupon to use with your membership card. If you're a frequent diner, they send you periodic coupons (current ones are $25 off a dinner for two for each of Jan/Feb/Mar) plus a free 3-pound lobster coupon for your birthday. 837 Club points can be redeemed for gift certificates at the Palm or merchandise. If you plan on dining at the Palm anyway, it seems like a no brainer to join. |
I've been a member for years and if you're a fan of steak and lobster, it's a no-brainer deal. The membership is essentially free (they give you a coupon back equal to the cost of the initial membership). After a certain amount of purchasing (I believe it's 500 dollars worth), they'll give you, yearly, a free lobster coupon for your birthday. In addition, the last two years at least, they've given me three $25 off coupons on dinner for two in January/February/March. I used the January one for a business meal, February will be for V-Day and March... well, who knows. :)

I think the third one is new... I called to make reservations and got the new third one, then went, by muscle memory, to the main one. The Palm couldn't fit me in... the Palm Too, could.
As for food, the blackened Ribeye was as good as ever. The wedge salad was a little puny, though, not that I finished it. ;) Timothy |
