I got an offer for 25% off a Dell Dimension over $1499, which would have been useful if I wanted to spent $1499 on a Dell or used Windows.

call them to require a price adjustment? or, at least some credit back. acutually, I did it successfully last month with a simlar situation.

"Won" 25% off a flat-panel monitor. Unfortunately, I already bought one (not Dell) a few months ago. Was actually hoping for a Dell DJ.

Maybe there should be a request thread for specific items people are planning to buy from Dell. I'm certainly willing to give away my one time coupons for items I won't buy anyway.

I'd try calling for the price adjustment. If that doesn't work, I think you can return within 30 days for full credit (less s/h).

As far as I can tell, the discount coupons get you a discount off their full price merchandise, not discounts off of products which might already be discounted on their web site. Tried to use a discount from the game with a system already discounted, and it did not give me any further discount when I went to check out.

One thing I'll warn you about: Dell at the moment is putting some big delays on items: A friend tried to order a 600m online almost a week ago. Dell web site said estimated shipping 21 or 22 Dec (depending on whether you looked at the Home or Small Business section, for the same machine). She put in an order, and the confirmation email said shipping would be after 7 Jan !!! That's about a month after ordering and two weeks later than given on the web site.

She cancelled her order from Dell and bought from a seller on ebay instead.
