50 MyPoints for Microsoft OneNote trial offer
 

Noticed this offer on the right hand side of the Simple Points page and so walked through it. It walks you through the free trial offer and how to download the program, but before I hit the 'download' buttom, the MyPoints pop-up screen appeared and said I'd be credited with the 50 MyPoints within 30 days, so didn't bother going any further.

I got the pop up saying I got the 50 points as well and I am on a Mac so I can't even run One Note.

It took me about 10 times of refreshing but it finally showed up. Thanks for the tip!

Thanks for the heads up. I got the points popup and email confirmation long before it downloaded. So I cancelled the download.

Seems to be gone now. Too bad.

All gone, even though I reloaded precisely (well, not really) 162 times. :)

Why on Earth Would it Be There for Just a Few Hours?
 

I do not understand it. It's not as if people hacked into it. It was put there, and then after just a fraction of My Points users availed themselves of it, they revoke it.

So why did they put it there int he first place? Was it not their intention that people download their thing with the tracking line in their comps?

Silly is what I call this kind of promotions.

A friend sent me to this community--nice to see something like this around. I've been a long-time MyPoints member. Been going thur all the threads and finding easy ways to earn more points! :cool:

Just fyi...I came across this offer in the Finance section today. I guess it's back up. But I didn't see any pop=up so I guess you actually have to download it now??
