You can now get a free point plus member ship from points.com so you can exchange points/miles between program.

You must be a Fairmont's President Club member in order to do this but you can sign up for free on their website.

Once done go to

Enter your number and create your profile. If you already have a profile with points.com, enter that information and it will eventually prompt you to merge the accounts together.

Now you can make unlimited exchanges for a year.
