wonder how they arrive at 12%. why not 10%? why not 15%? 12% seems a bit odd, no?

True. It's probably just a threshold analysis. Ten percent not being enough to encourage people to buy . . . I mean who get's excited for 10% !! 15% is probably too generous for their accounting department.
