Starbucks to launch Rewards Card

2 posts about Starbucks in one day ... I feel like a shill. This is from colloquy.com:

A move long anticipated by COLLOQUY devotees has finally come to pass: according to the New York Times, coffee behemoth Starbucks is set to partner with Bank One and Visa in the launch of a Starbucks credit card, which will debut this fall. But this isn't your father's co-branded credit card. The new Starbucks card will function both as a traditional credit card and as the same rechargeable Starbucks stored-value card that the chain's customers have made such a tremendous hit since its launch in November 2001.

I work with a guy who spends between 300-400 a month at Starbucks. If this proves true, I will recommend this to him.

A little off topic, but what does your coworker get there? Assuming a 30-day month, your friend spends between $10 to $13 every single day and that includes weekends. That is a lot of coffee.

Finally, after giving them $4 per cup of coffee, I'll get something back. Now they'll only average to $3.95 per cup.

I've got a friend that works for Chase in the CC division and he had told me about this about a year ago. He went on to say that the number of affinity cards is going to increase like crazy. Disney, Starbucks, Home Depot...you name it.
