Mypoints to HHonors points
 

Simple ? when you cash in your mypoints for Hilton points is it done electronicly or is it a paper cert thats mailed to you? Also if paper thats mailed does it have your info printed on it?

It's done electronically. I transferred 3,000 MyPoints to HHonors about a short time ago ... it took about a week for the award to process, and it showed up on the HHonors page. Took a little longer than I had hoped, but it wasn't any hassle.

do the names have to match exactly or does just the last name matter.

My name on my MyPoints account doesn't include my middle initial, while the HHonors account does, and I didn't have a problem. I think they must look to see that the HHonors account numbers match up, as well as the last names, and go ahead and make the transfer.

Showed up in Hilton on the same day

Much faster than the last two

I've found that it depends on the day of the week you do it on. Actually, I think I got that info from this board. I want to say it's a Wed or Thurs that they process all the transactions. So, depending on when you make the transfer, it can take up to a week.
