Webcertificate using MyPoints question
Can I redeem MyPoints for a Webcertificate then get a gift cert for Avis and Wal-Mart using the webcertificate? I've never used Webcertificate.com. Would appreciate guidance in how to go through this process.
Thanks |
Once you get the webcertificate, you can use it for online shopping just like a normal credit card (it basically generates a credit card number associated with your webcert account for the amount of the cert). So as long as you can use the web sites for the different places to buy gift certs, you're fine.

It took several weeks to get the webcertificate from MyPoints but when I did, I paid my local telephone bill with it. I logged in to my account with the local phone company, chose Mastercard as the credit card, inserted 16 digit cert # from the webcertificate and it was accepted. I then logged in to webcertificates account & saw how much had been deducted & to whom it went.
Easy as pie. |
Agree with the above ... used webcertificate several times with no problems. Technically, it's a MasterCard.
BTW, Mypoints offers Wal-Mart gift cards as redemption option. The Wal-Mart card is 1400 points for $10, while webcertificate is 1500 points for $10. webcertificate also has an option where 3500 points gets you $25. If you have only a couple thousand points, the wal-mart option is better. ------------------ On the road, In the air, I enjoy travel, From here to there. |
