E-rewards is going to give AA miles
Your free American Airlines ticket or first-class upgrade is closer than ever! Starting January 3, 2003, you can redeem your e-Rewards for the opportunity to earn up 2,500 AAdvantage Bonus Miles! And when you're ready, book your flight on AA.com.

Great News!
In my view 2,500 AA miles is better value than the 3,000 HHonors points available at $50. It also means that if you get up to $50 in a year, each basic e-rewards email (now worth 50c it seems) is worth the equivalent of 25 AA Miles - very respectable compared to mypoints. |

student, where did you got that information

It is on the e-rewards site.

No word on higher dollar redemption levels.. hopefully they will offer more miles for $100+!

Good news... but these awards are expensive. What balances do you have in E-rewards... I have less than $20.... (!!!!!!) http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

And what happens if you don't get to $25 by year end?

You have until March 30th to spend the amount earned in the previous year.. so you have a little extra earning time.

What makes this even better is that the exchange rate of AA->HH is going to increase to 2-1 after Jan 1st also. So while $50 in E-rewards gets you 3000 HH pts, if you get 2500 AA miles, it can be part of a transfer to HH worth 5000 pts.

thanks Cactus, that's what I meant by part of a transfer, but as always, I should assume nothing http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

Pretty cool for responding to e-mail! |

I currently have $170.35 in my e-rewards account, having redeemed some points earlier in the year. Great news about AA joining the redemption line up.

You have until March 30th to spend the amount earned in the previous year.. so you have a little extra earning time. So I examined the e-rewards program information. You can earn points till December 31, 2002, and you have till March 31, 2003 to redeem those points. However, any points you earn in 2003 will be redeemable starting on January 1, 2004. You cannot redeem 2003 points this year. Bummer. - Flatwell |
We redeemed erewards earned both years this year. No problem.
|
How are you guys getting so much $$$$$?
I get maybe 4 or 5 e-mails each week. I'm afraid I won't have enough to cash out by March http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif |
I get almost no emails at all.
|
Great news, but I also wish I would get more emails from these people...

How soon can I start redeeming my e-Rewards? You may redeem them as soon as your account accumulates a minimum of $ 25 in e-Rewards. Kathy |
