iDine moving into hotels?!

I just received an email inviting me to do an online survey about hotel discounts. They are looking into giving discounts at hotels through Idine. The survey asked all sorts of questions about current loyalty programme benefits, whether I'd be prepared to book elsewhere for a discount, etc.

Interestingly, this was addressed as a iDine Prime survey and told me that I'd get a $5 dining credit if I did the survey. Since I only earn FF credit, I wonder how they will handle this?

Hubby and I received the same survey.
Under the T & C's I understand the $5.00 credit will be applied to your next dining bill at one of the restaurants that participate in the idine program.
Did you complete the survey and did you receive the email confirmation? We have not yet completed the survey.
From the terms & conditions:
Your $5 dining credit will be automatically applied to your account within 48 hours of our receipt of your completed survey. You will receive a confirmation e-mail from iDine confirming that your dining credit has been deposited. Your credit will then be automatically applied towards your next qualified dine at any participating iDine restaurant provided that you pay for your meal with one of your registered credit cards between the time your credit has been deposited and 11:59 pm ET Tuesday, December 31, 2002. Your dining credit will expire, in whole or in part, effective 12:00 am ET Wednesday, January 1, 2003.

I do not hav Idine prime,Iam just in the base program, where I get miles once/restaurant.Wondering how they will give me the 5$ credit...

They will just apply a $5 credit to your credit card statement after you dine. (It's similar to what happens if you redeem United miles for dining credit.) It doesn't matter what your earning currency is.

The other problem I have is that I don't know which card I'm getting the credit on. (I have AA and UA connected to different cards and nothing in the email mentions which one it might be. Of course not, since it says iDine Prime, which is totally wrong.)
