Primarewards

Primarewards now allow redemption for airline miles starting at 20400 points. If you have not signed up yet, please sign up using the following link:

http://www.primarewards.com/php-bin/...fid=bernardsay

You can also get more primareward points by signing up and visiting sites at the following link:

You can also join via my web site below, thereby rewarding me for my efforts. I would get points for the referral at no cost to you. Click on Free Frequent Flyer Miles in the left column, then on Miles for Clicking in the top menu. Then scroll down.

Thanks.

Gary, while I do appreciate your efforts, I tend to believe that breaking conga lines to include your spam is crossing the line.

What Conga line is that? I was the first to disclose that I would receive any credit for the referrals.

Your comment is an example of why I don't like to post on this forum very much. Those polite people who want to read what I have to offer on the subject of miles is can read my almost daily posts at http://frequentflier.com/cgi-local/index.cgi. But you have to be nice over there...

I believe Yann even included a link to the mentioned Conga-line. Not difficult reading, imho. If you care to follow that link, you will see user Suzyn starting the thread by writing about referral credit. Not yourself.

In the current thread, Gary, you are the first to mention referral credit, but that's just because everybody else takes it for granted and just gives a link to the sign-up.

Takes what for granted? Why do you assume that I should have known about some conga that is not mentioned in this thread? I read this forum only occasionally.

OK. Now I have it figured out, and I can't figure out how to edit or delete my post above. I had actually forgotten that I had posted to that conga. But now we have a different disagreement:

Note that the conga was not broken by my post to it. All I did was offer an alternative to giving referral credit to the next person who happened along. Seems to me some folks might want to give that miniscule credit to the guy who as spent over 1000 hours creating a web site that is extremely useful to this community. Obviously some prefer to continue the conga. All I did was offer a reasonable choice. This particular choice could have long term effects on the mileage awards PrimaRewards offers, as I had explained. People who use the conga to sign up will not be indicating an interest in acquiring miles to PrimaRewards. See the discussion in the PrimRewards discussion boards to understand this.

I think you posted in the conga line that started last week... with the same info offered here.

Although you certainly did your best to try.

Which, as Yann pointed out, makes your post spam.

For what it's worth, there was a conga line for this back when Primarewards started. The breaking was done long ago.

So, my link is as good as any too:

So let me get this right. It's ok to solicit referral points via a conga if you contribute nothing to the persuit of miles, but it's not ok if you spend lots of time creating a web site that most everyone uses to acquire those miles. Right?

Have you looked at my site? Do you see any advertising on it? Do you really think it is financially worth my time? For over 1000 hours of work, I have received referral credits worth one local airline ticket plus about $210. Do the math. What is your time worth? Yet I consider my efforts very successful and very much worth my time. Have you ever asked why I do it? Or do you just perfer name calling without informing yourself first?

It's not a matter of criticizing your site and if it wasn't worth your time and effort, you wouldn't do it. While I haven't been here forever, it does seem that the standard in conga lines on SPAM is to, well, do the conga. I don't think there would a problem if you included your web site as a link in your signature.
