FF Miles for Dining and Gusto Dining Discount program
 

We subscribe to the Houston Chronicle and I finally signed up for the Gusto dining discount program today. If you subscribe to the paper and live in other US cities you may be eligible as well. See www.gusto.com

In any case, as I was looking over the list of restaurants I noticed that several on the list are also on the list of iDine restaurants affiliated with various FF dining programs and/or the Diners Club Le Card 20% back program.

One that I noticed here in Houston is Chianti on Post Oak.

I was wondering if anyone has been able get several of these discounts for the same dining experience. For example get 20% off by showing the Gusto card at the restaurant and then getting 20% of the remaining bill back on your DC bill or FF points if using a registered CC. I will probably try this and post the results here. Seems like a really good discount if you visit these restaurants anyway.

I hope Gusto works in Houston. It lasted about 6 months in Dallas, and then the newspaper cancelled it. I never did try double dipping. I hope it works.
